For several years, I'd wanted to visit
Corinth, Mississippi and retrace the footsteps of my
great-great-grandfather, Ransom Myers, who fought there with the Union Army
during the Civil War. Tommie Lee, a local Civil War buff, offered
to show me around Corinth and I spent the whole day with him. It
didn't matter to either of us that our ancestors may have fought each other
here in opposite trenches.
