Cavalry Charge
Fort Lincoln State Park, North Dakota (October 2001)
No, these aren't the folks at Visa tracking
me down. Actually, this is a cavalry exhibition at Fort
Lincoln, home of the 7th Cavalry and Colonel George Custer before they rode
off to the Little Big Horn in 1876. Fort Lincoln sits across the
Missouri River from Bismarck and is now a State Park (and a wonderful one at
that). It was also my home for seven weeks while I researched my
family's history in Bismarck.
