Irwin's "Australia Zoo", Brisbane (March 2002)
Like every American tourist who visits
Brisbane, I just had to see the "Crocodile Hunter's" zoo. The
admission fee was steep by Aussie standards but it was worth it, despite the
fact that every staff member dressed exactly like Steve Irwin. Here's a huge saltwater crocodile. "Salties" are pretty nasty, not like the
"freshies," or docile freshwater variety.
This was even more interesting than the endless rows of "Steve and
Terri" dolls that line the walls of the gift shop there.
