Bill Leu (1922 - 2003)
My father and his brother Bill were
best friends. My Dad passed away in 2002 then Bill passed away suddenly six months later. This is Bill in 1941 after
enlisting with the Navy. His ship, the
U.S.S. Neosho,
was bombed at Pearl Harbor then was sunk six months later in the Coral Sea.
Bill, like my father, had a lot of character and they were part of what many
have called "The Greatest Generation."
