St. Mary Lake
Glacier
National Park, Montana (July 2009)
I've been to over 200 national parks in my life, but
Glacier was one of the very first I visited, when I was seven months
old in a crib. I've been to Glacier many times since, although my last
visit was about 10 years ago, so in the summer of 2009, I packed my van and
drove to Glacier. I spent three days there and for the first time,
visited the beautiful Canadian section right across the border, Waterton
National Park. Unfortunately, many of the glaciers in Glacier National
Park are receding due to global warming and scientists predict they will have largely disappeared
within 30 years, so if you want to see the glaciers, you better hurry.
